The challenge

Spend could be scaled, but profit didn’t hold as it grew — and too much of the traffic that arrived never converted. The business needed the advertising and the store working together, not against each other.

Two levers, used together: Meta to bring the right buyers in, and conversion rate optimisation to turn more of them into purchases. We grew spend only as fast as it stayed profitable, and treated the store itself as part of the media buy.

More of the traffic converted, and it converted profitably — bringing the cost of a new purchase down to around $15 as sales scaled. Paid advertising became a channel the business could lean on and plan around.
